Thomas and his friends seem to be everywhere. The train named Thomas and his friends; Barney the friendly dinosaur, Bob the builder, Angelina ballerina, Pingu, fireman Sam and Rainbow magic have been entertaining the kids for well over thirty years now. Penned initially by Rev.W.Awdry, the children's books made their way to television in 1984. The immense popularity of the show soon saw Thomas leave the cozy station at London Station and venture out into the world outside. The jolly train with the chubby cheeks can be found not just on the pages of a comic book but on mugs, tables and even bed sheets. And now Thomas the tank engine can be found in the form of the Thomas and Friends tri scooter.

Thomas and Friends tri scooter - Design

The Thomas and Friends tri scooter has been designed especially with the rider in mind: the 3 year old. It is lightweight weighing just about 3kg. but has been designed to give out the effect of Thomas the Tank Engine.

The body of the tri scooter is bright blue with a red footrest and wheel covers. The curvy round body gives out the effect of a train engine while serving the purpose of protecting the kids from any sharp edges.

The tri scooter comes with a triangular wheel pattern of one wheel at the front and two wheels at the back. The large shiny rubber wheels again give out the feel of a train while providing excellent balance for the kids. The shiny blue handle comes with red hand grips and features a 3D Thomas plaque. The entire body of the tri scooter comes adorned with stickers of Thomas and his friends. Riding the tri scooter gives out the feeling of riding atop Thomas himself and kids simply love doing so.

This was bought for my son's 3rd birthday and it is absolutely perfect! It is very sturdy and he has no problems riding it. The sound effect buttons are also really great. Definitely a great buy for active little boys who love Thomas!!

Santa brought this for my grandson, and at 2 and a half he has managed really well to scoot both in our lounge and outside at his aunties! Great toy and he loves it. This particular version doesn't have any sounds, so no batteries required. Great for co-ordination skills.

I bought this for my son who is nearly 2 as he is always fighting with his sister over her scooter. He has found it extremely easy to use and takes it everywhere with him. Well worth the money!
