Dora the Explorer Tri Scooter - Design

The Dora the Explorer tri scooter is a masterpiece. Built on a color base of bright colors like yellow, violet, red and orange, the tri scooter is completely different than others in its category.

The large orange wheels are lined with large violet threaded tyres which offer stability to the rider. The yellow footboard is bright yellow and is printed with adorable Dora graphics. The footrest connects to the steering handle via a tubular steel frame. The entire body is made up of a similar structure of tubes which will avoid any untoward accidents due to sharp edges. The handlebars merge onto the steering rod via a curvy triangular plaque featuring Dora along with her friend Swiper.

I must be lucky - had this Dora the Explorer Tri Scooter for about 2 years, played with by 3 children and it's been great. No problems. Wheels never loosened or anything.

This is a great little tri scooter for young children, as it has two wheels at the back it is easy to balance on. The footplate it quite wide, wider than the Meta versions so is better for young children. My daughter had this when she was 4 and could ride it very well.

On the downside we did have problems with the wheels loosening and actually falling off, we repaired it to make it stronger; other parents had this problem too. Can be repaired with additional nuts and bolts but is obviously a considerable fault with the product.

Verdict

If your kid loves Dora, then they will adore the Dora the Explorer Tri Scooter too. Watch your child as they learn to surf the streets under the guidance of Dora and Swiper.
